A Team for Every Girl


The North Haven Girls' Softball League (NHGSL) is an independent ASA Softball League serving the girls of North Haven. The league is comprised of four divisions, which include Tee-Ball, Ponytail, Junior and Senior. We provide the opportunity for girls from age 5 to 18 to participate in a supervised league during the summer months. A dedicated group of volunteers has been working for over 18 years to develop this league, bringing it from a small town recreation department program to an independent league with 33 teams and over 400 participants. NHGSL Official Statement of Policy

It is the policy of the North Haven Girls' Softball League to promote the development of strong character, a right attitude and a sense of responsibility and citizenship in youngsters, using the game of softball as a vehicle. It is the purpose of North Haven Girls' Softball to achieve this goal through fair play, good sportsmanship and congenial fellowship, with adult leaders providing the example. It is strictly against the policy of North Haven Girls' Softball for any person, either as a participant or a spectator, to engage in arguments, to use abusive language, to harass umpires, or to exhibit any behavior not in concert with the general intention of this policy statement. Team coaches are required to abide by this policy statement and all parents and other adults are strongly encouraged to do so.
